Pete Douglas’ non-profit Bach Dancing & Dynamite Society has been a major contributor to the San Francisco live music scene since 1964. The Douglas Beach House, which sits on the waterfront in Half Moon Bay, is a venue that has hosted hundreds of superb musicians over the years, including Dizzy Gillespie, Dexter Gordon, Max Roach, Freddie Hubbard, Duke Ellington, and Etta James. The Douglas Beach House enjoys a stellar reputation in the music community as being one of the best places to perform thanks to great acoustics, the vibe of the concert room, and appreciative audiences.
